Meetings between umpires & groundsman
The two umpires should get to know each other before the match because they will be working together for the duration of the match
It is vital that before the match starts, they talk to each other and develop the necessary rapport to gain confidence in the other's abilities
The local knowledge of the groundsman is important and his cooperation can be invaluable during the match particularly with inclement weather affecting play
