2.1 APPOINTMENT & ATTENDANCE

Ground inspection (1)

This is an ideal opportunity for the umpires to get to know each other and learn about the possible problems at the ground

They should be observing:

Boundaries - the boundary may be marked in many different ways such as
    flags         gutter         line         rope         boards
    wall         fence         building         imaginary straight lines

    or a combination of these methods
Whatever methods are used, the umpires must ensure that any obstacles placed in the field of play are removed before play commences
