2.4 WICKETS, CREASES & BOUNDARIES

The checking of the crease markings and pitching of the wickets is usually attended to during the umpires' walking tour of the ground before the toss, any problems being resolved before the toss

If it is found that there are problems with the creases or stumps the problem should be rectified unless it is of a minor nature

If the problem cannot be rectified, the umpires should inform the captains who can decide whether to proceed with the problem unresolved
