2.3 CONSULTATION WITH CAPTAINS Before the toss the umpires and captains must agree: Balls - It must be agreed, not only how many balls, but exactly which type of ball is to be used during the match The competition regulations may determine the make and colour of the ball but if there are no regulations in place, the captains and umpires must agree the balls to be used The umpires should take charge of the balls for the whole of the match and decide on the replacement ball, old or new, if the occasion arises |
