2.8 SUSPENSION OF PLAY
IN DANGEROUS OR UNREASONABLE CONDITIONS
Weather and light conditions do not usually change dramatically from one level to another unless there is a very heavy rain shower Conditions gradually worsen or improve and in borderline cases the umpires may not agree as to what level the conditions are It is the two umpires and not the captains who will decide that the conditions have moved to a new level If play has been suspended because conditions are dangerous (Level 2), the captains will not be consulted If play is in progress in unreasonable conditions (Level 1), the umpires must agree that the conditions have worsened |
