2.11 DISAGREEMENT AND
DISPUTE
Some useful signals include:
i) Number of balls left in an over
Umpires may signal to each other after
the 4th or 5th ball of an over
Players will notice these signals and will be prepared to move
ready for the start of next over
ii) One of the umpires should be aware of
the postions of the batters when a catch is taken and the
batters are running
The position at the moment the catch is
completed will determine which end the new batter will occupy
iii) When the height of a delivery is
important
The umpire at the striker's end can
visually assist his colleague such as when a 'bouncer' or
'beamer' is bowled, or the height of the ball on the batter's
pads when there is an appeal for LBW
