31.8 WITHDRAWAL OF AN APPEAL
The captain of the fielding side may request the umpire, under whose jurisdiction the appeals falls, for permission to withdraw the appeal
If an appeal is to be withdrawn, it must be done before the instant when the ball comes into play for the next delivery
If the umpire has already given the batter out then, on revoking the appeal, the umpire will reverse his decision and recall the batter to continue his innings
