31.3 TIMING OF APPEALS

The incident giving rise to the appeal must have occurred while the ball was in play, except for an appeal for Timed out

An appeal must be made before a bowler begins his run up (or bowling action) for the next delivery

The call of Over does not invalidate an appeal and any appeal made between consecutive overs must be answered

The call of Time does invalidate an appeal and any appeal made after the call of Time cannot be answered by an umpire

If an appeal is made during an interval or an interruption the umpires must disregard it and explain to the fielding side that it is invalid
