19.3 RESTORING THE BOUNDARY

Any boundaries scored are signalled to the scorers by the bowler's end umpire

If a solid object is used to mark the boundary and it is disturbed, it must be replaced as soon as practical

Boundaries are scored when
the ball touches the boundary edge

it lands beyond the boundary edge

a fielder whilst in contact with the ball touches the boundary edge

a fielder whilst in contact with the ball grounds some part of his person beyond the boundary
It is important to remember that everything beyond the boundary edge is outside the boundary - the boundary marker itself is outside the boundary
