19.1 DETERMINING THE BOUNDARY OF THE FIELD OF PLAY The boundaries for the field of play will be agreed by the umpires and captains before the toss It should also be agreed that a sightscreen is always outside the field of play If it is physically on the field of play, a board, flags or rope should be placed in front of the sightscreen to form a boundary If there is an obstacle inside the boundary such as a tree, the umpires must decide before the toss whether it is a boundary or not |
