41.3 THE MATCH BALL - CHANGING ITS CONDITION
If an umpire suspects that the condition of the ball has been changed, he should consult with his colleague and ask the captain of the opposing side if he would like the ball to be replaced
If a replacement ball is requested, the ball will be changed for one of similar wear and tear
The replacement ball is chosen by the umpires without any input from the players
