Example A
Green has bowled over number 14

White has bowled 3 balls of over number 15 when he falls heavily and is unable to continue

Brown is expected to bowl over number 16

Green and Brown cannot finish White's over

Example B

In a limited overs match, White has bowled 3 balls of his 5th over when he falls heavily and is unable to continue

Green has bowled 7 overs at the start of the innings and finishes White's over

White has now bowled 5 overs and Green has bowled 8 overs

17.8 BOWLER INCAPACITATED OR SUSPENDED DURING AN OVER

If a bowler is unable to finish an over because of suspension or injury, the umpire shall call and signal "Dead ball"

The unfinished part of the over must be completed at the same end by another bowler who
    has not bowled the previous over or part of the previous over

          and

    will not bowl the next over or part of the next over (Example A)

In limited overs matches, both parts of an over bowled by 2 bowlers will count as 1 over in each of their bowling analysis (Example B)
