33.3 MAKING A CATCH
Complete control over the ball
If the fielder is running as he catches the ball, he must either stop running or reach a stage where it is obvious he could stop running if he wanted to
If the fielder is off balance, he must regain his balance
If the fielder has dived to take a catch, he must hold on to the ball on impact with the ground until he has recovered from the impact
The ball becomes dead at the completion of a catch
