33.4 NO RUNS TO BE SCORED

The umpires, particularly the striker's end umpire, should observe the position of the batters at the instant the catch was completed. If there is any doubt, the umpires should consult

No runs are scored from a valid catch even though the batters may have time to complete one or more runs before the ball is caught

However, if the umpires award any penalty runs, to either side, they will be added to the score

The not out batter will go to the end that was his at the instant the catch was completed

If the batters have crossed, the not out batter will go to the end towards which he was running
