33.3 MAKING A CATCH

Complete control over the ball

If the fielder is juggling the ball, it is clear that he has no control over the ball

If the fielder throws the ball into the air with delight at making the catch, he is demonstrating that he has control over the ball

However, sometimes a slip fielder scoops the ball up in the air as he 'catches' it, has he control over the ball?

There is no time limit to how long the ball has to be in the hands of the fielder
