22.5 BALL NOT DEAD


The ball does not become dead on the call of Wide ball, runs can be scored and either batter can be dismissed

The first call of Wide ball is for the benefit of the players

The umpire should not turn towards the scorers to signal

When the ball is dead, the Bowler's end umpire will turn to the scorers and repeat the Wide ball signal and await acknowledgement before allowing play to continue
