41.13 BOWLER RUNNING ON
THE PROTECTED AREA
This area of the pitch is protected from damage that could be caused by the bowler in his follow-through
If the bowler runs on to the protected area in his follow-through he has committed an offence whether or not any damage is visible
The bowler is, of course, permitted to go on the protected area if he needs to field the ball
The type of footwear worn by the bowler is not relevant
