25.3 RESTRICTION ON BATSMAN COMMENCING AN INNINGS
If a member of the batting side has unserved Penalty time (Law 24.2), he cannot bat or act as a runner until that Penalty time has been served
However, the player can bat when his side has lost 5 wickets, even if there is still some unexpired Penalty time
In a multi-day match, any unserved Penalty time is carried over to his side's next innings
