26.3 TRIAL RUN UP
A bowler is not allowed a trial run-up unless the umpire decides that there will not be a waste of time
This ban applies between the call of Play and the next call of Time
If the batters and fielders are ready, a trial run-up would not be allowed
If a batter was not ready, a trial run-up would not be deemed to be wasting time
It is recommended that any trial run up should be away from the stumps so that the bowler is not in danger of damaging the pitch
