If the obstruction prevents a catch being taken, penalties are allowed but no batter's runs can be scored from that delivery
Other forms of obstruction will allow batter's runs completed before the offence and penalties to be recorded
In both cases, the not out batter goes to the end that was his at the moment of the obstruction
The scorers should be informed of the runs to be recorded
