13.5 DECISION TO BE NOTIFIED
The captain of the side or his nominated deputy winning the toss has to decide whether to bat first or field first
He must notify the opposing captain and the umpire(s) of his decision immediately
His decision cannot be changed even if play is unexpectedly delayed
The scorers should be informed of his decision
