33.2 FAIR CATCH


There may be difficulty in deciding whether a ball has touched the ground:
    immediately after being hit near the bottom of the bat

    before being taken by the fielder's hands close to the ground
The striker's end umpire may be in a better position to see the ball and can be consulted before making a decision
