The
Laws of Cricket were comprehensively re-written by the MCC
and introduced in October 2017 in Southern Hemisphere
countries. The Northern Hemisphere countries introduced the
re-written Laws in summer 2018. However, other changes have
been introduced from October 2022
A summary of the 2022 changes is available and changes have been incorporated into Umpiring training pages using yellow text We have access to expert technical advice on all aspects of the correct interpretation and application of the Laws of Cricket as set down in the MCC's 'Blue Book' on how they are differently applied under the ECB First Class playing regulations and International Cricket Council (ICC) playing regulations. Through the Index of Cricket Terms and Scenario pages on the web site, we provides a unique service which is used by cricket journalists, pundits, television and radio commentators and members of the public who readily obtain immediate expert advice on the interpretation and application of the Laws.
