41.7 BOWLING OF DANGEROUS AND UNFAIR NON-PITCHING DELIVERIES High full pitched balls (Beamer) The bowler's end umpire will call and signal No ball every time he considers the delivery to be unfair The umpire has no choice about the procedure for this type of delivery - it is always illegal If the ball slips from the bowler's hand and becomes a beamer, the umpire must still treat the delivery as unfair He will immediately commence the warning procedure The warning procedures relate to a number of occurrences and the type of unfair balls (bouncer or beamer) are counted together when bowled by the same bowler |
