12.3 REMOVAL OF BAILS

Any appeal made after the call of Time, is invalid

Runs cannot be scored and wickets cannot be taken

The bails should be removed at each call of Time to signify that play has ended

Normally the umpire at the bowler's end removes the bails at his end

The umpire at the striker's end will normally be some distance away at Square leg and a member of the fielding side may remove the bails for him
