3.3 ACKNOWLEDGING SIGNALS

The umpires should meet the scorers before the start of play and agree
where the scorers will be sitting, preferably together

what signalling device will be used to acknowledge signals
The scorers may have access to a light on the scorebox or use a white card to wave out of the window or simply raise their hand in the air

If there is a scoreboard on the ground, it is preferable that another person is responsible for updating the score

The umpires should be tolerant when there is only one scorer who is expected to maintain the scorebook and scoreboard
