3.1 APPOINTMENT OF SCORERS

At each match there should be 2 scorers, normally appointed by the competing clubs

Unfortunately, there is sometimes only 1 scorer who may also be a player in the match

The scorers are responsible for recording the same things that the umpires should check throughout the match
    number of runs scored
    number of wickets taken
    number of overs bowled
Most scorers will record more detail in the scorebook than is required by the Laws such as balls faced by batters, start and end of each batter's innings
