6.2 FITNESS OF THE PITCH FOR PLAY
Before the toss, the groundstaff are responsible for the selecting and preparing the pitch
During the match, the umpires are the sole judges of the fitness of the pitch for play
However, a change to the Law in 2017, allows ONE umpire to decide the pitch is unfit for play
