7.3 POPPING CREASE



The popping crease is the back edge of the white line

It is marked to a minimum of 12 feet (3.66 m) in length and is drawn 4 feet (1.22 m) in front of and parallel to the bowling crease and it is unlimited in length to the boundary

It marks the limit of the batter's ground and has No ball implications - Law 21 (No ball) and Law 30 (Batter out of his ground)
