23.1 BYES When a No ball has been bowled, one run is recorded for the No ball, as a No ball extra; any other runs are scored as Byes or Leg byes, as appropriate
When the ball is dead, the umpire gives the bye signal and then repeats the No ball signal If a Wide is bowled, any runs completed as byes plus the 1 run penalty are recorded as Wides in the scorebook
