29.1 WICKET IS BROKEN

The bail is completely removed from the top of the stumps when both ends of it leave the bail grooves and the bail does not settle back on the top of the stumps.

Temporary disturbance is not adequate

The bail has not been completely removed if any part of the bail is above the level of the top of the stumps

If both bails have been removed from the top of the stumps, the wicket can be broken by either replacing a bail and removing it in the approved manner, or by removing a stump from the ground

Knocking it askew is not removing it
