16.9 MISTAKES IN SCORING
If the umpires and scorers find a discrepancy in the scorebook after the players have left the field, the error may affect the result of the match
If the discrepancy is minor, such as 1 run still to be scored with 6 overs left and only 5 wickets down, the fielding captain may decide to concede the match rather than returning to the field for 1 run
The umpires can order play to resume, if
If the umpires and scorers find a discrepancy in the scorebook after the players have left the field, the error may affect the result of the match
