12.7 INTERRUPTIONS OF PLAY
In the following examples, the close of play is 6.30pm and the assumption is that a result is NOT reached during the last hour
An over is in progress at 5.30 and the next over starts at 5.32
Example C
At 5.41 2 overs and 4 balls (2.4 overs) have been bowled and there is an interruption of 8 minutes
At 5.41 there are at least 17.2 overs still to be bowled
8 minutes lost which is 2 overs (2 periods of 3 minutes, other 2 minutes are ignored in all calculations)
At 5.49 play resumes with at least 15 overs still to bowl after the bowler has completed the unfinished 3rd over
