Batsmen at the same end

India batsmen Atharva Ankolekar and Dhruv Jurel race each other to the same end in their U19 Cricket World Cup final against Bangladesh

The striker, Jurel, played the ball into the covers and started to run but the non-striker moved forward a few yards and then turned around intending to regain his ground

The fielder picked up the ball and threw it to the striker’s end and the wicket-keeper removed the bails and appealed

The umpires then had to decide which batsman was nearest the STRIKER’S end when the wicket was put down

The non-striker was first to ground his bat at his end therefore the striker, Jurel, was given out Run out
