Flipper



A very difficult ball for either bowler or batsman to master, the flipper is a delivery by a leg-break bowler that is faster than a conventional leg-break and squeezed out of the front of his hand. This is claimed to impart back-spin on the ball so, when it pitches, it keeps very low - either to scuttle under the bat and hit the stumps, or produce an affirmative decision for LBW
