The deliberate poor bowling (Full tosses and Long hops) from the fielding team to allow the batter to score runs quickly and encourage the opposing captain to declare

Sometimes a declaration can go disastrously awry; the captain who declares at the wrong moment and ends up on the losing side is unlikely to be popular with his team!
