27.3 POSITION OF WICKET-KEEPER

Once the ball comes into play, the wicket-keeper must stay wholly behind the wicket, until the ball

has hit the bat

      or

has hit the person of the striker

      or

has passed the striker's wicket

      or

the striker attempts to run

If the wicket-keeper transgresses, the striker's end umpire will call and signal No ball as soon as possible after the ball has been delivered
